The Story:

Since she was little Amy had a dream of opening a bakery. After finishing a pasty school, and with knowledge passed to her by her late grandma, the dream finally became a reality. A small, local bakery is located in Edinburgh, Scotland and they bake the most delicious sweets & treats, and of course, various fresh breads and loafs.

The Mission:

Now, all Amy and her grandma needed was a great brand and logo development, that would be as fresh and attractive as their products. Just baked. is dedicated to bringing a fresh and traditionally made pastry and bread, but in addition to being a bakery, they also wanted people to consider them as a place where they can drink their coffee and tea while enjoying appetizing pastry.

The Output:

In the end, we decided to go with the route where we don't have bread or rolling pin involved in the logo, but rather using a combination of heart and wheat, to show their love for the baking and their ingredients. The outcome is lovely modern brand identity based on a heart shape, using sans serif typography and clean layouts. We also crafted a website for them, so they can start establishing themself as a professional bakery with outstanding products.

The Impact:

Even though they only opened two weeks ago, just baked. is already a famous bakery amongst the local people. Loved for their fresh breads and various pastry, as well for the calm and inviting interior, they brought something different in town. Because of many demands, they are even considering implementing a delivery for larger orders.
